Alta Resources has earned an EcoVadis Silver Medal, marking meaningful progress in our sustainability journey and reinforcing our commitment to responsible business practices.
This year, Alta achieved an overall EcoVadis score of 76 out of 100, placing us in the 90th percentile globally among more than 150,000 companies assessed. Alta also ranks among the top 6 percent of companies in its industry worldwide based on overall performance in the EcoVadis assessment.
The recognition is especially meaningful because it builds on the progress we made last year. Alta earned its first EcoVadis Bronze Medal with a score of 62 out of 100 and a ranking in the 71st percentile. In one year, we increased our overall score by 14 points and advanced from Bronze to Silver, demonstrating measurable progress in how we approach sustainability across our business.
EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Together, these areas provide a comprehensive look at how organizations put responsible business practices into action.
For Alta, these areas touch many aspects of how we operate, from supporting our people and conducting business with integrity to working responsibly with our partners and considering the impact we have on the communities around us.
“Earning a Silver Medal is an exciting milestone for Alta and a reflection of the progress we’ve made since our first EcoVadis assessment,” said Jabu Dube, Compliance Director at Alta Resources. “Moving from Bronze to Silver demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and to strengthening the responsible business practices that matter to our employees, clients, and partners.”
That progress is the result of work happening across Alta. As our business continues to evolve, we remain focused on strengthening the practices and processes that help us operate responsibly while delivering the exceptional experiences our clients and their customers count on us to provide.
EcoVadis is a leading provider of business sustainability ratings, helping organizations assess and monitor sustainability performance across global supply chains. Its methodology is based on internationally recognized standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, with assessments taking into account factors such as a company’s industry, size, and geographic location.
EcoVadis ratings are also used by organizations around the world to better understand sustainability performance throughout their supply chains. At the time of Alta’s previous assessment, EcoVadis reported that more than 700 multinational companies used its platform to monitor the sustainability performance of their trading partners.
For Alta, an independent assessment like EcoVadis gives us a meaningful way to measure our progress, identify opportunities to improve, and demonstrate the standards we hold ourselves to as an organization.
Moving from Bronze to Silver in one year is an achievement we’re proud of, but continuous improvement means we’re always looking ahead.
We’ll continue to evaluate our performance, strengthen our practices, and identify opportunities to make meaningful progress across our organization. As expectations for responsible business continue to evolve, so will the ways we challenge ourselves to improve.
Our EcoVadis Silver Medal reflects how far we’ve come and sets a new benchmark for where we go next. As Alta continues to grow, we remain committed to raising our standards, operating responsibly, and building a stronger, more sustainable business for our employees, clients, partners, and communities.
